Caught in the Web: mapping older people's information pathways to public services

Report on interview-based research into older people’s information needs and their experiences of seeking information on key public services at major transition times in their lives such as bereavement, onset of chronic illness, or becoming a carer. Along with a literature review, the 7 case studies presented highlight the barriers to effective accessing of information, and are the basis for recommendations on good practice by public service information providers. Introducing the report, the national Ombudsman points out that improving information provision for older people will benefit the whole population.
