United Nations Day of Older People

To celebrate United Nations Day of Older People, 1st October 2010, we have launched our online petition defend the State Pension.

Last year, thousands of older people campaigned successfully against cuts to the State Pension. But now, the State Pension and associated supports are again under threat in December’s Budget.

We do not want to find ourselves fighting this battle again and again. That is why we’re campaigning again to send a clear and strong message to our policy-makers: the State Pension must not suffer any cuts, direct or indirect, in the next Budget.
