Older & Bolder at gates of Leinster House Thursday 18th October at 12 noon [12/10/2012]

Older & Bolder will, next Thursday October 18^th, at the gates of Dáil Éireann, present signatures to a petition calling for the immediate reversal of cuts to Home Help and Home Care Packages.

Director of Older & Bolder Patricia Conboy, said, “These cuts will devastate the prospect of safe and healthy ageing at home. They actually contradict government policy of supporting people to age safely at home. And now thousands have acted through constituency visits, postcard petitions and online action in pursuit of our campaign goal that these cuts to Home Help and Home Care Packages be reversed.”

Ms Conboy continued, “Next Thursday Older & Bolder will give voice to the thousands of older people and their supporters who say ‘No’ to these cruel cuts. We are determined to resist these illogical cuts.”
